Site Staff and Moderators

I will soon be looking for people interesting in helping out with the site as well as moderating the forum.

We'll start off with three moderators, so please post if you are interested. The requirements are:

-Extensive Pentax and photography knowlege
-Proficiency in using the forum system
-Moderators must visit the forum at least once every other day

I will select moderators in a few weeks, one the forum has settled in.

Also, I'm looking one person to help with PR, so that we can spread the word about the site, and to find more people to enjoy it! This won't be an official staff position, but your help will be recognized.

Finally, I will need some people to occasionally find pentax news and post it on the forums- I'll be doing my best, but I can't be online 24/7.

Please post if you're interested in helping- ideas are also welcome in the suggestions forum.

I'm eagerly looking forward to this site's growth- today (the site's launch day) was tremendous, and I hope our success continues. After all, I simply want to provide pentax users a place to talk and to obtain information, feedback, and news, knowing that this is the first site with such a goal

I could moderate on this forum like I am at Themotec.com Forums, but because I don't have any Pentax equipment, I'd be limited in the work I could do. However, moderation does not require knowledge of the subject, and perhaps being impartial on the subjects could even make me a better moderator.

You do have general photography orientation, however, so I think you're good to go

I would love to be a moderator, but I know nothing about cameras yet. I am an admin on a 7000 member board though, www.panthershuddle.com, so I have experiance with the work and the vbulletin setup.

It looks like we've got who we need, then! It's great to have moderators in each time zone, too!

Toshi, Rak, Joele, and Buddha Jones will be our future moderators Since this is a serious forum, we shouldn't be experiencing too much trouble- but spam and other annoyances will pop up...

So, for now, moderator applications are closed, but I'm still looking for the other 2 staff-position candidates.

people to find Pentax news and post on forums

Hi Mo,

I got interested in photography in 1972, bought myself a brand new Pentax Spotmatic F, and worked in a photo lab for a few years. Other than a couple of point and shoot cameras, I have only owned and used Pentax SLR products.

I try to keep abreast of things ?Pentax? and between work, family, and the photo club, I would love to contribute and post articles, links and other Pentax info that I find online or in print, etc. In fact, I have something important to post right now!

Thanks
Ed
