2. The photo must be taken with a Pentax camera.
3. The photo should be exactly 800 pixels wide or 800 pixels tall, depending on orientation. It may be no larger than one megabyte in size.
4. The photo should be submitted to the PentaxForums.com User Photo Gallery. You can access the gallery directly by going to User Photo Gallery - Pentaxium/World Pentax Day. Select the correct category (March 25th, 2007) and then click the "Upload" link located in the navbar. You must be logged in.

Help us make this day a Pentax Day! We hope for a successful and memorable event!
Perhaps upload time should be limited to one week or less. I guess most of us want Pentax World Day pictures to be fresh, up-to-date. No one is interested in old news and besides that limiting the upload date would motivate posters to upload sooner rather than later.
Hi Adam, Almost everything looks really great except the size limit. I don't mean the physical 800 pixels along the longest side, I am referring to the 1mg file size. Most photos that are 800X532 and JPEG level 8 or higher are about 2.25 megs. I'd like to see the file size increased to 2.5mg or even 3 mg. But I need to say a big THANKS for hosting this!
Hi Adam, looking forward to it. I am participating in a photography workshop on the day. The workshop is a 3 day course, Sunday 25th being day 2 and the field trip day. Should be fun...

It will be limited a few days after the contest is over.

I think you're thinking in kilobytes...my average JPEG 11 photo is 350Kb at 800x536. 1 megabyte= 1024 kilobytes.
EXIF info? 3 day entry window? So this is only limited to Pentax DIGITAL cameras then?
I guess we're no longer Pentaxians if we shoot film...
There will be a one-week entry window, so just snap the shot on March 25th and get it developed within a few days. I think I'll get my Super A rolling again for Pentax Day
Just one?! I thought the 10 or more that some people posted last year (the March 19 version) was a little extreme, but allowing 3 per person would give a better sense of the moods of the day in different places - perhaps with a caveat that they should be three *different* shots, not just three of very similar subjects. Someone could do a scenic shot showing their location, a person shot, and a nature closeup, or some architecture, a bird, and a random street scene, or . . . .
Hi Adam -- I don't think the number of submissions has ever been fixed at 1. I know the original Pentaxium site allowed multiple submissions. I think if folks want to submit several it's fine. Three sounds like a good number. It forces you to choose the best of your shots for the day.

Cool - this makes it more likely that I'll actually go out and try to take some different shots in non-usual places.
