The Tammy Club!

.

Gus (igilligan) - this is your fault!

In the '70ltd vs. Tamron 28-75' thread, it was mentioned that there were
M-club, K-club, Takumar club, etc threads, all dedicated to (mostly) Pentax prime
lenses.

I know that there are just as many Tamron zoom (and prime) users out there,
and I've seen some amazing shots taken by Tamron posted in this forum.

Let's see some more.

I just think we should give some love to a manufacturer/brand that gives us
so much good glass for such reasonable prices. Tamron has quietly established a
consumer/prosumer pedigree that, while not equal to Pentax, can proudly
live in the same bag any day of the week, in my book.

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. Purchased only recently, but already been on my camera for many hours. It's my first Tamron (although I also have the 1.4x TC), and I'm very happy so far.

oh jeez, maybe the best reason to buy a Pentax is because the Tamrons fit it WOWEE photos.

All Tamron 28-75mm... on the last one, if the whole of the bloom in the foreground is 3/4" in diameter, I'd be surprised.

Tamron Adaptall-2 20A 70-150mm f/3.5

The glass is a little older and it is not an SP, but I like the quality just the same.

Yikes! After seeing this thread and the pictures posted on the other "clubs", you have to figure...What a great bunch of photographers! It does not seem to matter what tool is being used, they all get great results.

On the other hand...maybe we are also just REAL good at picking good tools and applying them to our craft!

Great images posted here!

Steve, so do you think that maybe, just maybe, it is true that it's the photographer that makes the photo...?

52A with 01F 2x, 52BB with 18f extension tube, 52B without a mount. For reference, the 01F and mount are about the same size as an SMC A 50mm f2.

Great shots maxwell. It just goes to show that the 70-300 is vastly under-appreciated and represents one of the best values on the market.
