Enjoyed your article about old camera techniques applied to modern DSLRs.
My trusty Spotmatic was all over the world with me in 70s thru 90s and later a Ricoh K mount. Starting 2004 I did some small-sensor digital (Fujifilm e550 and e900, then Pan Lumix FZ35) and recently got fed up with small sensors and accidentally stumbled into the Pentaxforums website... realized my old manual Pentax Lenses will work on a DSLR... and bought a used K20D... still learning which button is for what... but having fun.
Your article reminded me of something that puzzled me. What is the reason for turning off SR (Shake Reduction) when using a tripod ? Why not leave SR active as anti-shake "insurance"?
