Hi, Douglas:
When I was 5, we moved from my infancy home (next to grandparents) to my childhood home a few miles away. Dad immediately built a darkroom in the garage and fitted it with the shortwave radio receiver he'd built from a kit. Many nights were spent processing pictures, inhaling fumes, listening to operas from far away. Then he built an HO train layout next to the darkroom, but the labwork continued. That was just part of growing up, eh?

"Raised in a small darkroom", I like that. Sounds like we had sort of similar childhoods. My dad took me to the darkroom to develope my own films from when I was six...
