Hi there, I have used the adaptor from gagdet infinity without focus confirmation. It had problems with the smc and s-m-c takumars 50 f1.4 cos somehow doesnt press the aperture pin and you cant change aperture with it. I havent got any problem with the supertakumars, mamiya, vivitars.... I have sold the adaptor cos of that limitation and I was about to start researching for one without the problem. I will let you know what I found out.

Regarding the ones with focus confirmation I was adviced to get the that has the chip soldered not the one that you have to glue by yourself.

Hey there... I see you are using some M42 lenses on a Canon 40d. I am looking at getting one of these cameras soon and I have a lot of old SMC Takumar M42's that I'd like to use on it. Do you have any specific suggestions for adapters that would work well? What are you using? Anything with focus confirmation?
