I am a big admirer of your flower portraits and I know you love getting out there in the garden. I just wanted to point you in the direction of a thread with different styles of flower shots (in case you hadn't already seen it) because I thought it might interest you. IMO there are some stunning flower shots.

I had fun walking round Berkely Botanical Gardens this afternoon, got some nice shots.

That's I have been told... there were so many pre-orders that all the stock was gone and it is taking time to replace. Try B&H... if anyone's going to have one it is them... I didn't know the Tamron version was out yet... I would think there would be a lot of pre-orders on that one too. The reason I pre-ordered was the writes ups were excellent on the Nikon and Canon versions and I like landscape wotj and Marco's... I have bought six lenses this year so I am done for awhile. Flash is next and I may go with the new Ring Flash Pentax just announced for my Macro work... Have a great vacation and bring back some pictures!! JIMBO

I'm having a hard time finding either, we are leaving a week from tomorrow for 18 days, I'm getting really excited to get back to some warm weather, running out of time.

It seems I may have run into a little cash influx and maybe able to swing the new lens before my trip. Adorama shows it may be in stock as well as 47th st.

Hi Jimbo, I really like the 105 mm. It can produce nice bokeh and seems sharp. It shows a lot of detail.

Codiac2600 uses it on a K20 he has done other threads with pics from that combo as well.

No, I have to order everything in from my lovcal camera store. I like to buy local and they have been willing to meet pricing I dig up or at least reduce the price somewhat. JIMBO

Hey Jimbo, I see you only live about an hour North of me. Do you have any good camera stores in the Vancouver area that are stocked full of Pentax gear and third party lenses. Ok any that have some selection of gear or do you have to order online and wait?
