No worries Jimbo, I'm really glad you liked the stuff on there. I hope you've posted some comments.
And after that you can tell us when you're ordering a lens.

Gary.. Yes, I love taking flower pictures. Just thought I would change it up a bit as I was only posting flower pictures in the beginning. There are a number of great gardens in my area that I have not been to yet but will be hitting. I also have a goal for 2009 to run down the Oregon coast to the CA border. Maybe we could hook up for some picture taking!!! My other hobby for years was gardening though over the past year my K10 takes up all my extra time away from work that and my autistic son Trevor and my daughter Shelby, now in university. I am also going hunting in Northern Alberta later this month and hope to get some great landscape pictures and wildlife. That's another reason I purchased the 70-200 with the 2X teleconverter. I too like your work Gary and you do have a great eye for this hobby. I have learned a lot from you this past year. Can't wait to see your pix's from your trip today. Cheers and thanks for keeping in touch. Cheers. JIM

    Jimbo, just saying hi.
I am a big admirer of your flower portraits and I know you love getting out there in the garden. I just wanted to point you in the direction of a thread with different styles of flower shots (in case you hadn't already seen it) because I thought it might interest you. IMO there are some stunning flower shots.

I had fun walking round Berkely Botanical Gardens this afternoon, got some nice shots.

    Have a good weekend,
    Gary

Hi Jimbo, I really like the 105 mm. It can produce nice bokeh and seems sharp. It shows a lot of detail.
    Check this thread out http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/p...macro-fun.html
Codiac2600 uses it on a K20 he has done other threads with pics from that combo as well.

    Cheers,
    Gary

Gary.. have a questions. I see you use the Sigma 105 Macro?? What do you think of the lens? I have the Tamron 90 and its ok but the auto focus is klunky at times... I am really starting to enjoy Macro work and wanted a second lens. Thanks JIMBO
