Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I looked at your offer - and at this point I will reluctantly decline. Your kindness is appreciated.

My K20D showed up a few days ago - the additional lenses in transit. After speaking with the adjuster a few times and asking pointed questions, our policy states that they will replace everything with the current equivalent. So since the K10D was top of the line when I bought it - it will be replaced with a K20D. As for the other cameras and lenses, they will give us a market value to get started - we send in the receipt for the replacement and if it is higher than the market value - they give us the difference.

I am waiting on the police now for reports and such to get back to the insurance company. We will see how it goes.

Let me know. Regarding the insured things, it is my understanding that they will either give you equipment of the same "age" and condition than yours or its money equivalence. I wouldnt expect to get what somebody suggested (2 K20Ds) thought that would be really really nice.

I will take a look and I appreciate the effort. We talk to the insurance adjuster again tomorrow to make sure that we have a replacement policy - then I should get to negotiate whether or not I can effectively combine the *istDs and K10D into a K20D. Then I can start to look for a second body.
