are you interested in catching up this week, I have wed, fri ,sat and tues next week free if you want to get out.
Also i walked to cumberland falls. Not far from CL falls but unfortunately there are no real good photographic spots. The falls would be quite reasonable ,lots of water, but the terrain is dangerous. I would like to go back to kepel and walk up the falls further if you are interested.
Also got the locations of a few more falls but they are day trips at least.
Let me know if you got some time.

It was more a case of the product simply didn't do what I needed it to. I was losing shots, thus work and money. CRK weren't exactly forthcoming with help when it came to lenses though, I will admit.

For the sort of heavy sports shooting I do the lineup is great, and you can actually get them! Unlike Pentax and even third-party manufacturers. Also Nikons Pro Service is unbelievably helpful.

I'll get a D700 mid-year, then a 300 f/2.8 after that, depending on how things are.

Oh, and with regards to the rendering of images, I more meant I like the way Pentax's carry details in the mid-to-low tonal areas, something I struggled with when I got the D300. They are a far more complex camera than the K10/20D.

Sorry, don't come on this forum very often.

The D300 is simply amazing. In the coming month or so I will I will write a comparison review and post it up here.

I still like, almost prefer, the way the Pentax renders images, and in-camera SR is great, but pretty much everything else is better, simple as that.
