Thanks for the reply. Moreton bay bugs are tiny size, charging a premium!
Then the taxi driver that kept on telling me how friendly Brisbane people are actually ripped me off charging me 50 Dollars from airport to Royal Brisbane Hospital while it should have cost around 30 dollars.
Yeah, time for me to resume photography again. Your fish eye shots are inspiration. I will have 2 casual assignments to pick up on the weekend. I guess I will enjoy it.

Good work James. Now you need a break - it's only natural to have bad dreams about such a big event in your life! I hope the Moreton Bay Bugs weren't part of the nightmare!

Mate, I wish you all the best. Do your best to unwind. I appreciate how stressed out you must be about it - a few close friends going through that. But hey, taking your K20D out for a bit may be just the trick!

LoL, one hour behind? That is funny.

My exam cases were very hard, especially with long cases: one scleroderma with pul hypertension (with many other co-mordity) and one HIV AIDS being hep C positive and hemophilliac... Short cases were probably 2 fail and 2 passes. So it is all in the hands of long cases...

Back to my usual working life, waiting for results. I woke up to a nightmare this morning with an unclear cause... So I guess my nerves are pretty high strung...

James! How do you feel now?
    All done and awaiting results...
Hope you're pleased with how you went in the exam.
Yes, Brisbane's finally caught on with the idea that growth is inevitable, so the mayor finally reached into his pockets to make things happen - they always said Queenslanders were a little slow (10 years and 1 hour behind, in fact)...

I just returned from Brisbane and hell, the city is filled with construction work!

I ate some interesting local food called Moreton Bay Bugs which initially frightended me off a little. lol

Ash, I am going to sit my physician exam on 2nd of August. Would be in Brisbane. Just a little grunt before my nervous time of examination.

    Hi James,

I'm in Toowoomba at least until the end of this year, but I'm thinking I'll extend my work contract for another year here since it's such a nice town.

Toowoomba and its surrounds has quite a lot to offer photographically, only you just need the time to do it all! The town itself has a couple of bird sanctuaries, which offers some exotic birds (if you're lucky), an array of stunning gardens (hence being called Garden City), and some great lookouts (if the weather conditions are right). But I'm no wildlife expert, so I'd have very little to say what the Darling Downs has to offer in that respect.

What I can say is that a lot of the neighbouring towns have great attractions, such as Crows Nest and all the small towns on the way there from Toowoomba, featuring a couple of spectacular national parks (Crows Nest and Ravensbourne). Going west there's Oakey, Jondaryan and Dalby, which are rural heritage towns, and down south there's Allora, Warwick and Stanthorpe (a winery and apple growing haven).

But I'd say for more wildlife stuff, you'd do well to get some info from the Toowoomba City Council website, as they're more nature inclined...

We could hook up when you come and do some shooting around town together!
    Let me know your plans.
    Cheers,
    Ash.

Hey Ash. Just wondering how long you are planning to stay in Toowomba?

Are there anything interesting to photograph like a birding tour etc? I will have frequent flyer points due in September and trying to travel to a spot to use up the points
