I guess you didn't test your brush with a filter/lens first, did you?

Did you actually not manage to clean the smeared sensor, even not with Eclipse? That surprises me since basically you should be cleaning a glass plate (the protection for the IR filter) and I cannot image anything that should not be removable through wet cleaning.

I'm happy to discuss this in the forum/group, just wondering how interested others might be....
