Your Pet A Day.... (post up!)

Inspired by a thread I post in on another board covering just dogs, I thought I'd start-up a similar one having a wider target audience, pertaining to any kind of pet.

Please post-up, but just only one shot of each of your [edit: or friend's, family's, etc.] pets a day max; i.e. if you have more than one as I do, just one pic of each a day.

I'll start it off. I've shared these before here in different places, but I like'm a lot so they're worth repeating to me:

I don't have a lot of shots of her, my wife's favorite Mimi, as she's very scared of the camera (totally a gregarious tom-boy otherwise), as she associates the camera with flash, and associates flash with lightning and thunder. So shot with available light of course...

Zoe is such a looker... She's my usual model of choice. Gotta lot of shots of her, from even well before having the K10D.

Nala, hunting down any moving leaves (blowing in the wind)... quickly becoming my model of choice now since she joined the family a year and a half ago with her "look @ me" personality.

Hope you make this a regular place to come visit to post-up and/or look at our favorite companions. Perhaps picking up some nice composition techniques from others @ the same time.

A fun idea for a thread!

This is Chaya, our lab/pit bull mix

Harlan, the pearled cockatiel. He's turned out to be a she since she started laying eggs for the first time in 8 year!

The Texas ornate box turtles... Petunia and Bug

And, the inland bearded dragon, Hodja

Thanks James

Thank you James, The Trixie shot was one of my first shots with the K100d and I still love it. It was the moment that I was sure I had made the right decision to move up to a DSLR... Funny how a cat shot can bring clarity to one's life... haha

I love it when you can catch them just being dogs (or cats or snakes)... you did a fine job of that on these. The second one is really cute.
