OK, another first time (and might I add completely unexpected!) judge here, so be kind! Looking at the list of previous subjects, picking a good new one is a bit harder than I thought…so many good ones have been covered…how about:
REFLECTION
That should allow a pretty wide variety of photos and some interesting shots.
The rules are as always:
The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, it’s always interesting to know the story around the shot.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax. Just use any camera you want. No discriminating anyone as long as the shooter is an active member here.
Let’s see…7 full days would be Wednesday March 5th for the final entries, I’ll try to have the winners posted on Thursday the 6th.
Oh crap, this is the same theme we have for my office photo club's monthly contest, and I have no idea what to shoot! Hehe. At least this will give me more motivation to shoot reflection photos. Thanks Jester_rm. Can't wait to see the submissions.
Kewl. I hope the tripod and head I just bought from a member here arrives in time, because I have a photo I've wanted to shoot for months, but it needs a long shutter. I think it'll be a good candidate for the theme.
Gooshin... a big "wow"! For lack of a better word, a very 'entrancing' image.
Question, were the two 'caricatures' hand drawn and added in post by you or were they already on the wall?
they were already on the wall, they are caricatures of my boss and his wife, we were at their house, my friend (their son) was hosting it
the two people in the picture other than me are my close friends, and i feel i really captured them in a moment. Kirill (the guy) always bitches at me for snapping off pictures, and Alica doesnt laugh much.. but when she does.. so .. anyway, its cool.
and it takes most people awhile to figure out that its a mirror wall...
Shot diagonally through a window at the City Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Reflections coming from a reflecting pool outside, the window, and another field of clear glass panels inside the library.
I didn't say it was good! I just think it's interesting.
WOW, Gooshin!! I had to look several times to grasp your picture. It's like from a graphic novel, really wonderful colours and the graphic look you have made. And a nice mirror reflection too, of course. Thanks for sharing, hope to see more of that series soon.
