Potw # 24

Welcome to POTW # 24

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday August 17th through Sunday August 31st.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuffs.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday August 24th> to <Sunday August 31st>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

I played around with it to portrait the energy of this beautiful lady . You feel like a Pentax Full Frame DSLR when you're around her .

Nice shot Tran - not too sure I am a big fan of that effect - but it is well done.

Alan - nice shots , first one is great lighting. Last two are good low light shots.

A few more from a whirlwind 2 day get away ...

This is where we were

This is what we did looking at the picture I am front left burried by the wave you can't even see me and my son is front right about to burried (not taken by me and not a Pentax but thought you might enjoy)

Wish I had a better shot - we also did some Zip Lining. This is a 30 meter tower with a 500meter run over the kicking horse river was pretty cool

On the way home stopping along the highway for many photo opps

These were shot last weekend but i'm just now getting time to download and go through all the pictures. A group of us from work went to Boston to catch the Red Sox vs Toronto at Fenway last weekend and here are a few. All were taken from our left field bleacher seats ( not quite nosebleed) with a Sigma 70-300 except the sunset shot I used the kit lens.

Tran - that is dreamy I really like that pose / shot such an imagination you have well done.

reeftool - ahh Fenway Park would love to go there - a nice series indeed.

borno - nice bird series with the 500. I love the one in flight and the duck line up.

Alan - nice Bw - that first one is really cool. Other than the magazine with Bradgelina on it , it could be form the 50's.

Kyrpticide - that is a nice low light shot - I like churches well done.

Here are some cold , cool (as in they come from melting glaciers) water shots

Alan - Thanks . It was a foggy day . So dreamy ideas came to mind . You're getting very good with that B/W portrait . I can't do that around here . It's the weirdest thing around here !

Borno - I like that ducks row . Very cool shot !

krpyticide - Impressive shot ! Welcome to the POTW .

Dave - Thanks . She got those wonderful eye lashes so I thought I fit that into the shot somehow . Sometimes I try to explain to the model what I would shoot . But after a while they will do jsut about anything you ask b/c of the trust . I like your first shot . I might have to wait until the rain season . Evrything is bone dry over here

Thanks dantuyhoa. That was my first time with the K10D and zoom at a night game. I like your model shots, especially the first one.
krpyticide, beautiful church shot.
Dave, beautiful pictures. Looks like an awesome vacation trip you have had.
Borno, wonderful birds. Love the one taking off in the third shot.
Maxwell, nice city shots and the b&w gives it that nice old style magazine look we don't see much anymore.

I had cervical spine (neck) surgery last week.

So nothing spectacular this week. A photo taken in my yard with a very old lens attached to my K10D. Taken on one of my recovery constitutionals... best I can muster for the time being. First photo in weeks. One has to start somewhere.

Hosta flower.
