Weekly Challenge #99: Extraordinarily Ordinary -- Winners

I want to first thank all who entered. There were a lot of great interpretations on this weeks theme that made it really hard to choose the top three and the winners.

With that being said, here are the honorable mentions in no particular order:

virgilr: I love that sort of high-contrast brown color you've got going on that picture, and its really simple, but the composition isn't quite there. Very tough choice

atupdate: I like stair pictures, and this one almost does it for me. For me, architecture needs to be symmetric, so I'd line both support poles up and try to get as much of the stairs on the bottom as you've got on the top of the image. This makes it a tough shot to get, but yours is one of the best attempts I've seen.

Bramela: Love the concept of the stairs and the repetition of the bricks, but it's a little too over exposed for my taste.

And now for the winners:

Third Place: Labomba.
I love the repetition of the lamposts in this picture and the way they draw your eye down to the bottom of the picture. The only problem I have with it is the change in the pattern at the beginning of the lamposts. I don't know how you'd fix that, but it's a great shot nonetheless.

Second Place: Mark Morb
The whispy clouds and the chimneys are what do it for me in this picture. The antennas combined with the clouds make it seem like you can see the radio waves that carry the TV signal. Very well done shot.

Drumroll please for the winner:
Jaws!
This picture has it all for me- a simple, ordinary subject, a great 'coffee-stain' effect with the brown tint and the high contrast, and the isolation of the sign and the brush. You know what the subject is, everything about the photo relates to the subject, and the color effect nudges it out of the ordinary into the extraordinary. This is my favorite shot of them all

Congrats to everyone!

I'm still not believing the 3dr position I got, among so fantastic pictures. About the lamps position for a moment I wouldn't even take this shot, because the lamp posts were not simmetric at all, shame of architeture's composition. They have moved the first lamp to give space for a parking barrier. Anyway, thank you all very much.
