PROJECT 52-2-04 Architecture: Industrial — Winners!

After careful deliberation and consideration of the evidence, the week four winners (in ascending order) are:

<drum roll>

3rd Place: DanLoc78, Grim Riverfront

On the virtue of grit ugliness! Actually, though...framing the factory next to the otherwise nice looking stream is a great use of contrasting subjects.

2nd Place: mithrandir, Historic Truss Bridge

This was a hard choice between this one and the winner given the beauty of all those painted supports and the crispness of the scene.

<trumpet fanfare>

1st Place: Bramela, Coal Loading Facilities

I like the intersecting angles and curves. They give the image a sense of practical purpose. Industrial efficiency!

Congratulations to the winners and thanks for the privilege of handing out the laurels!

Nicely done Bruce and Rob! Thanks for the mention Steve!

pretty sure i need to calibrate my home monitor...my pic definitely didn't look that dark at home. but hey, that adds to the industrial ugliness i guess

Thanks for judging Steve. It is nice to get someone else's input on one's work. I'd love to see a panorama of that mine that Bruce shot. Wow! It seems to go on for miles. I also love the gritty moodiness of your shot Dan.

My pleasure to judge the entries

The Project 52-2 is a real challenge since there is limited time to do take, process, and submit the photo. I couple of times, I would have submitted, except that my schedule did not allow for the time to get the shot! My congratulations to those of you are are able to submit on a regular basis.

Good work all around!

Thanks for the win and for the many words from each and all, much appreciated.. One of those shots that you snap and when you get it on the computer, it leaves you thinking, "hey thats better than I expected".
Doesn't happen all that often though

Congrats to each and every entry, some great shots from all!!

Congrats to Bruce and the other winners, and congrats to stevebrot too for doing the judging.

NaCl(agree with stevebrot about the difficulty of this contest, esp if you work 6days/wk)H2O
