Well actually my focus was on but DOF was sadly lacking. I don't think I could ever set this shot up the way it worked out with the background colors and bug. To bad the bug's butt is oof! As an update, I liked the way the colors worked in this photo so much that I half heartedly submitted it to PPG to my surprise it got accepted!
Another great idea for a thread.
I think I have deleted most of these but I will see.
Still, more will pop up and I will have a place to put them
Thank you!
Brand-new puppy (Taz) and our slightly-nuts older dog (Kandy, aka Froot-Loop ) playing tug of war. And yes, there was a "dammit!" uttered when the AF on kit lens couldn't quite keep up with these two...
I've watched this scene in a neighbor's pasture many times and wanted to capture it, but the turkeys typically bolt when I point the camera. This time I drove past and then crept back with the camera ready. Afterwards I realized I had left SR on even though I was using a monopod. I think I've seen this issue with SR in this type of scene before, but I'm not sure yet. That or infinity focus on my A zooms is off.
I actually really like some of the "missed" focus points. I think it draws attention to the real subject in a very clever way that perhaps can be more interesting than the intended image. Very cool!
