Welcome to Picture of the Week #83 10/04/2009 - 10/18/2009
Thanks Dave (daacon) for hosting last weeks POTW thread it can be found Here
Again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday 10/04/2009 to Sunday - Sunday 10/18/2009. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.
Previous hosts: (each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look past at the previous 81 weeks. As Dave mentioned I'll join to thanks to Peter who started the links it was a lot of editing - I was now able to just copy them here
Thanks for hosting Georg good to see ya back. A few from yesterday - man the wind was wicked froze my fingers , it's too bad being Pentax Day and all did not get out for much - anyway here are a few the first one a tree still hanging on as if summer was still here , the others obvious signs of what awaits all foliage very soon here.
I havn't posted in a while. Have not had much time between work, my father having open heart bypass, and life in general. This is all I've got to show for the past 2 weeks. Double rainbow. It was one of the brightest doubles I've seen, and it arced the sky completely. (both bows)
gawan - I like the single yellow tree in the crowd. Lovely view
xjjohnno - That raven sure has a striking blue eye.
daacon - I hope the tree hanging on to Summer doesn't get a big surprise
legacyb4 - 'Waiting on Brother' really appeals to me. Good job.
weatherwise2 - Great perspective of the workers wading amongst the cranberries. Did you have to climb a tree for that one?
eccs19 - May many more rainbows come your way.
Light_Horseman - Perfect timing on the bird flying in front of the sun. Great mood too.
I will share a couple from my visit to the AIBF...
Sat at the General Store having a quiet coffee when a distant rumble became noticeable. At last I thought, John, Carl and Neil the bike riding Pentax shooters where coming to visit. With that hundreds of BSA bikes filed past and halted. As they left I realised that I had my camera with me. Got a snap shot of the corner man waiting for the last bike. I had the Viv 105mm macro on, and forgot about the dreadful PF.
To the boys, you missed a great day out!

And the day before I'd been down the coast looking to fly. Not enough wind for hang gliding, the mates all up in their jellies. (derogatory term for a paraglider) Again the macro.
Rense, thanks!
Xjjohnno, thanks, love your bird shots. Are those black ones ravens or jackdaws?
Dave, thanks, you seem to have clod there too, even frost, love the autumn leaf pics!
Jesff, I really like the first image, girl among the pumpkins!

Eccs19, I feel with ou there, I had a longer pause too and some mishaps of life... Great rainbow, expresses hope!
