Winners - PP Challenge #8 - Street scene

Thanks to everyone who entered this PP challenge. I have always liked this shot and was hoping to get ideas on how to improve it. I was not disappointed, I now have many ideas on how to improve the shot, and others.

Ash - Honorable mention - I like the cropping and color. I think the over saturation looks very good. I think you have made it look more like a painting. Nicely done.

Kaufeetime - Third Place - Lots of work here to remove all the distractions in the pic - no more power pole or overhead wires - the guy on the left was also removed. All our attention is now focused on the old woman.

atupdate - Second place - My original thoughts for this shot were along this line. I think it looks very good as a B&W. The addition of grain definitely gives it an old time look. The long street in the foreground makes it look like the old woman has had to walk a long way.

MRRiley - First Place - How could I not choose this as the winner. Removal of all the distractions, addition of the mountains with fog, excellent B&W conversion. It looks better that real life! Excellent work.

Thanks Frank! It was a fun image to work with. Congratulations to everyone else on some superb interpretations. I will post an image for Challenge #9 sometime this evening.
