PROJECT 52-2-17 Landscape: Your Back Yard (Week Two)

Important Note: Week 17 runs for two weeks due to my inability to read a calendar. However, all is not lost. This timeframe is a perfect time to get in a few shots for the Seasonal competitions to be held later in the Project 52-2 year.

We have two Seasonal competitions planned for the last two weeks of year two. You may take pictures for these anytime between 20090705 and the posting dates of 20100704 or 20100711. This way you can include your favorite holiday or season whenever it occurs during the year.

Meanwhile, our Assignment for Week 17 continues (for a second week) the genre of Landscapes. We are looking quite literally at our own backyard. (If you live in a place without a backyard, feel free to use a relative's or friend's back yard or a common area). Let's see what great landscape pictures we can envision is this rather domestic setting.

(Pictures for week 17 competition to be taken and posted between 20091025 AND 20091108).

this actually works out quite nicely for me! with being so busy last week and also the awful weather we had...getting a pic in my own back yard wasn't so easy. i look forward to contributing something and keeping the streak of not missing a theme going!

DO NOT JUDGE. On my way home from shooting a wedding Sunday, I saw this scene out my driver's side window and nearly got in a wreck trying to stop my car to get out and capture it. This is not my back yard, but it's the horse farm's back yard .

Nothing spectacular here showing all the warts .... Taken today fresh off the card the leaning retaining wall, the weathered deck the unracked grass .... ahhhhhhhh come on snow !(so I can avoid all that workd for another year ) - the fence looks good though eh ? (Painted it a couple years ago ...)

Moon-lit backyard of rented apartments, at which I am staying now.

I thought this was going to be easier. I've taken some really cool pictures in my back yard but a picture of my back yard is a whole different game especially when my widest lens is only 24mm. So just at sunset tonight I went out and popped this one.

I totally agree with you and I'm the one who came up with the theme.
