Weekly Challenge #23 - Motion Blur

Hi all

I have now came up with a theme for the Weekly Mini Challenge #23:
Motion Blur

I know some like to experiment with the camera every now and day. There are a lot of things that can be done besides of flowers, kids and pets...

Motion Blur: I believe any picture containing unsharp elements is OK. That is, don't mistake camera shake or misfocusing for motion blur, ok?

Here are the rules:

Final entry due Thursday next week. Thursday next week is defined as Thursday, July 12, 2007. As long as the Thursday July 12 hasn't turned Friday you can post your picture, wherever you are on the globe.

I'll post a thread announcing the winner(s) at Friday or Saturday next week.

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax. (added by Jonas for Challenge #23: Just use any camera you want. I'm not discriminating anyone as long as the is an active member here)

Previous Challenge Subjects:
1-Statues, 2-Wheels, 3-Speed, 4-Peace, 5-Survival, 6-Macro, 7-Mountains, 8-Children, 9-Post Processing, 10- Windows & Doors, 11-Sport, 12-Urban Landscape, 13-Wisdom, 14-Power, 15-Music, 16-Pathways, 17-Lines, 18-Storm, 19-Boats, 20-Water, 21 - Golden Hour, 22 - Natural Lighting, Portraits

And a sample:

There are many takes on motion blur, feel free to experiment.

I see that Mike already got a picture up. Early posters get an extra point...
Make an impression!

For something a little different...

Hi Jonas,

Beef Carpaccio in preparation, well not 100% authentic (meat is a little cooked). I wanted to turn this one B&W, but then it loses much of it's colours of interest...

K10D+FA31 at F4 and ISO400.

Cheers,
-Asad

I really like your picture Asad, it would get my first vote so far.
Mikes is my second choice.

Does the flyline count

It was one of the first pictures taken with my Sigma 135-400, and still one of my favorite from it.

My attempt . I was just messing with the just arrived Super Takumar f/1.4 50mm when I saw this cat running by. Tough manual focusing on a moving object in the dark, but I sort of like the outcome .

I guess I'll give this mini contest a shot. Not your usual race car speeding by, but what the heck.

I took this while in Nicaragua in the winter of 2006. These ladies are selecting pieces of tobacco to make cigars. Their hands were just flying!

I wanted to use natural light so I slowed the camera to 1/10 sec at ISO 400 using the kit lens.
