Rosemary - You're going crazy ! Great photos . You should ask the girl to do more shoot . I only see the images here so those two might not look the same in persons . I trust your eyes .Thanks for your kind words .
gawan - Thanks . You're good phototog . I think mostly the desire to get some nice images of family is what get us starting in this hobby ... then LBA..hahaha
Tim - Nice series . I have the DS, too. It's a fine little camera .
Tran nice shot.
well this is what happens when you shoot in a dark barn with a few doors open and you cant use flash and your lens is not fast enough! You cry as you delete most of the pics, then you get creative and start to play, lol
So.........................thoughts? certainly not traditional
some great shots this week already.. Rosemary you have got quite the series going there with your models.. Keep up the good work..
Tran.. some great shots..

Well, I'm back at work this week after a week off, so unfortunately I have precious little time to go shooting. However here are a few from last week that fit within the date range.
New York Pavilion from the '64-'65 Worlds Fair in NYC. Now a neglected ruin but more photogenic for that I think. Phillip Johnson, the architect of the Pavilion says that it is much more interesting as a ruin than it was during the World's Fair. Pentax K10D; DA 12-24 F4.0 lens
Staying at Flushing Meadows...this is a technically terrible shot but as I was walking away from the Unisphere, I glanced over to my left as saw all these would be Atlas's. K10D Sigma 17-70
Walkway with overarching London Plane trees. K10D Sigma 17-70
Finally a close up of the statue "The Rocket Thrower" showing the corrosion patterns in the bronze. Same setup as above
Wow I am late to the game but glad to see the game goes on. There are some really good portraits this week and so many good shots too many to comment on but I enjoyed looking at them all.
I Just got back in town on Thursday evening and I am just getting a breather now ...
Here are a few from me. These are from the Hotel Embassy Suites in San Fran (Burlingame actually). This is the day after Frank and I hooked up. Almost finished process those ones. Will post later.

The Competition accross the Bay
The Embassy Suites is very near the airport (SFO)
Lush vegetation everywhere
Just like the next two
And of course one has to have a fisheye shot in there
And finally the slightly tilted hotel itself

I've got dozens I could post. If you really want to keep track you should befriend me on Flickr. These few are from a couple days ago at a graveyard in Kerry, one which is, surprisingly, not abandoned but still in operation. Would be pretty scary at night.

Tran, I like the Fountain Fairy for it's colour contrast, it is just great!
Kim, great macros and close-up's
Salty (NaClH2O), that picture of other taking pictures and posing is a wonderful catch!
Dave, I like the Golden Gate with the sea on the left, that big wave is a good catch!
Kris, love the awarenes in the look of your dog!
I just loved the statue picture in Salty's (NaClH2O) post, so I decided to post this one from yesterday, it is IMO one of the most dramatic pictures you can find in Helsinki.
It is called "Castaway" in English. Looking at these pictures now I think they would have been much better if shot in a more cloudy weather, not very artistic but maybe of interest to you, I hope.
One quick image from me . I went to Sausalito which is a great little town on the North side of San Francisco .
