POTW # 18 7/6/08 to 7/20/08

Since so one posted the new thread, I guess I can get this week started. I be out of town scouting colleges upsate later this week, but it is pretty simple to start the thread.

Feel free to post any topic you enjoy that was photographed between July 6th and July 20th.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday Date> to <Sunday Date>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: 1 Peter Zack, 2 Eaglerapids, 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan, 10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris, 13 mtnbearhug, 14 SCGushue, 15 daacon, 16 maxwell1295, 17 dantuyhoa, 18 daacon, 19 maxwell1295....

I'll start off with few from the last few days.

Wow! Very nice! I see the portrait thing is going very well. I'd love to see a B&W version of the 2nd shot. I love the close-up in the first one and the angle of the second. Good shootin'!

A good start so far. I haven't posted much too busy with work, vacations and some paid photo work.

Very nice series Rosemary. Intense colours in those and I like the shooting style.
dantuyhoa, Good stuff as well. I particularly like the middle one wih the sculpture. Well done.
maxwell1295 Love the ruins and the All Star shot.

So along the lines of more portrait stuff.
I never post shots from my wedding work but I liked this one:

Peter, that wedding shot is a goodie! The B&W conversion makes a lot of sense. It definitely adds a striking quality to this pic (and that's without even seeing the color version). I see what you mean about the Converse at the wedding. I imagine that was a fun group to shoot. The bridal party shots probably turned out well. Female bikers club......now that really seems like a lot of fun!

Wow, Rosemary! I think I like this one best. Those spontaneous candid shots are some of the best captures you can get. This is another one I'd love to see a B&W verison of. I may convert it myself when I get home.

Rosemary - Thanks . Love the colors in your photos . Have you been eating those Philly Cheese steak again ? Shooting people is fun but so much work though the results are quite blessing .

Peter - Thanks . It was a fun shoot . We had a blast . She was very happy to see the results . We might had a new Pentax user though that could be a while . Love your BW wedding image . A classic for sure .

Frank : You do have a cool way with flowers ! Great shot .

Good lord, this weeks thread is so high quality in artistic respect that I had to consider hard what to post!

Rosemary, your saturated colours have infected me, so I tried to learn a little from them... this is my daughter with Elsa.
