so here it is, the Weekly Date Challenge #6:

The date for challenge #6 is June 28th

The winner for #6 will be picked on Tuesday July 22nd

The winner each week will pick the next date and host the challenge and pick the winner.

Here are the rules which should carry forward from week to week

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post and can be a digital photo or a scanned photo.
2. The photo must be taken on the date of the challenge and can taken in any year.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The challenge host will pick the WINNERS and and the first place winner will host the next challenge and pick the next date.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

I chose this date because this year I spent the day with my camera glued to my hand and face for my oldest son's wedding. I am interested in seeing what you were doing on June 28. June 28th of ANY year of course.
I bet many of you have photos from June 28th right handy now don't you? Let me see them please.

I'm excited because I actually took some pictures on June 28! I've been wanting to participate in this challenge for a few weeks now.

Finally !!! After being skunked the last two dates I can play. I have the whole day of the 28th June 2008 documented and had a hard time deciding what to post. I have beach pictures , Slow-pitch pictures and Beer Garden pictures that day. So I thought we see a few of the first two so here it is. Converted to BW to lessen some of the noise (ISO 1600)

Kim Mitchell in Vernon, BC at the Funtastic 2008 Tournament - There were no "Patio Lanterns" but everyone was "Go For A Soda" ... Here is about 1/3 of the mosh pit - me with about 6k of my 'closest' (literally) friends
