This really is in color. I figure you can probably tell by the bluish glow from the window on the black keys in the top of the frame...but figured I'd clarify anyway.

Thanks Ben. I was scratching my head as to what I was going to do for the theme this week. Then I looked over at the piano and the lightbulb went on. I must have taken 40 pictures of the keys. I liked this one best for the perspective and depth of field.

this week was a tough one, I tried a bunch of ideas without getting something I really liked, but here it is Tuesday so this is the one I like the best of what I did get:
taken early in the morning against an overcast sky

I shot this one this past week. It's the roof/ceiling of one of the buildings at the University of Buffalo. The dull sky actually works for this shot. Had it been a good day, the sky and clouds would've disqualified it...
who won this weeks challenge? im a bit confused since the next challenge is already posted.
what i've done is given people that extra day (wednesday) to post their pictures. I also start threads on wednesday for the next theme. So you should see BigBen post results today sometime.

Great pictures everyone, a neat idea for a theme and a difficult set of photo's to judge.
Sorry I am so late to judge but things are busy around here, and quite honestly I forgot I had to judge today!
Here goes:
Honorable Mentions:

Great shot, quite evocative of the theme. There is just enough hue to figure out it isn't B&W. Love the shallow DOF and composition.
maxwell1295
Very neat abstract, love the curves and how they meld into such a wonderful composition.
And the winner is......rmtagg (Rosemary)
I know this wasn't taken this week, but I won last week with a picture I took back in April so I can date-scriminate
What a wonderful macro, everything about it is out of this world. Did you happen to use focus stacking? It almost looks like there are 2 focal planes. The droplets just pop! Love the shot, and congrats with the win!
Thanks for the mention. Rosemary's winning photo is a deserving one. It was incredible when she first posted it and it's incredible now.
Alan Your work is great and well deserved praise
DanLoc78
very creative and also well deserving of praise
Thank you so much. This pic was taken with just a regular lens last fall when I started getting serious about learning how to use my new camera and fixating on rain drops, lol It's just one of those shots I am always going to love. Thank you
