Weekly Challenge #16 - Pathways

The next weekly challenge: Pathways.

This can be interpreted however you feel. It can be taken literally: a mountain path, a road, a sidewalk, a subway or train. Or figuratively, for example, a decisive moment.

Final entry due around 10pm on May 7, and I'll post the winners that night or the following day. (I have a little one who sometimes demands my play-doh expertise)

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax.

Having some fun with the one bit conversion. This is Aukland Harbour taken with the istd, and If I remember correctly, 28-70 f4. A few paths here, one the rats use, the ropes, one the people use to access the yacht and, I suppose, the yacht is a pathway to the world. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!!

I walked up and down these steps and there are numerous stairways like there in the region. I guess my attempt works out - luck

Tracy, I did not know you are a fan of Escher. I used to own lots of his books and framed a couple of his art work prints on my walls - just to stimulate my brain delaying the onset of dementia when I get much older...

Thank you for that comment but I think Escher is much more creative and interesting to be used as a analogy here ...

p.s. I cannot wait for another trip to the Japan later this year Hopefully more Zen stuff to photograph

This was taken at a local Garden when I saw the intersection I thought of the poem and wondered which is the less traveled?

In the Capilano Bridge Park in Vancouver you can walk on these raised wooden pathways.

It is a rather extensive project that covers a large area.

Walking through the forest 30' above the ground gives one a different perspective.

Nice shot . I have been there done that and it was quite a site for sure - some of my best PS pics are from our trip to Vancouver - Gross Mountain, Staney Park , Gasstown ,etc

Going to work the other day, this combination of the sidewalk (the pathway) and the strip of green grass on top, with the stream of fallen cherry blossoms just struck me as a neat abstract. Well, neat to me, at least. I hope you enjoy it.
