Coffee and dessert

One of the things my girlfriend and I love to do occasionally on a Sunday morning is to head down to this cafe for a lovely cappuccino and some of the best dessert in town (see why I said 'occasionally'?) We grab "our" table by a window that overlooks a quiet and sleepy street, read the morning's newspaper, talk, eat... moments to cherish.

I've always admired the lines and the strong, repetitive yet understated symmetry of this building across the street. On this particular morning I liked that I could see signs of habitation... shampoo bottles and a car parked in front, with the cable hitting it at just the spot where the sunlight glinted off the body.

This photograph was made sometime last year with my Pentax P3 and the A-50mm/2 lens using Ilford HP5+ film. The barrel distortion is surprisingly pronounced in this photograph... I tried to correct it in Photoshop but wasn't particularly successful so I left it at that

How is it possible I have thousands of images, yet no 'lines' ?

This was taken from the 100 Acre Woods Rally earlier this year in southern Missouri.

There are lots of interesting shots here already.

EDIT: I wont enter this one, but I did it at the same time I'm not sure which I like better. Anyone have an opinion?

justuspr,

Just to make sure I understand your message, the first picture posted is your challenge entry. Am I correct?

Mr CJ,

Only one entry per customer in the Weekly Challenge (See Rule #1 of the original post). I will assume that the first image in your post is your entry unless you tell me otherwise.
