Weekly Challenge #18 - Storms

The next weekly challenge: Storms

This one is pretty straight forward...lets see your best shot that interprets a STORM. I don't care weather it's a sky, sea, coming or going storm or whatever photo....as long as in some way it represents STORM.

Scott.

Final entry due around 6AM EST on Friday May 25, and I'll post the winners on Friday or Saturday

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax.

Previous Challenge Subjects:
1-Statues 2-Wheels 3-Speed 4-Peace 5-Survival 6-Macro 7-Mountains 8-Children 9-Post Processing 10- Windows & Doors 11-Sport 12-Urban Landscape 13-Wisdom 14-Power 15-Music 16-Pathways 17-Lines 18 -Storm

Example...

Dang! I just missed a wicked storm on Tuesday and my semi decent shots were from my little Fuji. Good luck to all!

P.S. Any tips on shooting lightning bolts? I can't seem to get it right on my K100.

Storm Over St. Lucia

I snapped this while on vacation on the island of St. Lucia. It is taken atop Signal Hill with the town of Vieux fort in the foreground and the outline of the famous 'Gros Piton' on the horizon.

Mini Challenge: Storm

This was taken at our high school last year before a football game.... Needless to say it was rained out.

Something wicked this way comes .....

This contest should be interesting - you may have created some 'Storm Chasers'. This is one of the first pics I took with my K100D off my deck in the backyard - 70mm , ISO 800 , f4 , 0.3shutter , tripod - My entry for now ... unless I can get a storm here over the next week ...
