Theme: Contest #23, July, 2008

The theme for the PentaxForums.com July Photo Contest is:

Patterns

For this contest, we want to see images of repeating color patterns so look for bright vibrant colors. Remember composition is very important. Watch out for distracting elements in your background - get closer to your subject. Avoid snapshots. Take your time and plan your photo.

As usual, please do not post your submissions as replies to this thread! Make a new thread in the submission sub-forum instead!

If this is your first contest, you may be interested in reading the following articles:

Good luck to all participants!

(The poll for the June contest will be posted shortly.)

problems

hi!

trying to upload a submission iget this message:

stern, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, your account may be awaiting activation or the forum you have selected may be closed to new posts.

in the submission forum, i was able to post a text message, but trying to edit this message, i again get this message and can't do anything about it. i have no clue as what to do.
thx for any help!

stern

Hi Stern,

If you make a mistake in your original post, you can't edit it (in the contest forum only!). Instead, simply post a new reply to your submission thread containing an attachment.

thx, I noted that. but I,m still confused as not being able to upload an attachment to the contest. I always get this error-message, I posted above. I can only upload text-messages without attachments to the contest forum.

You should refer back to the original Patters contest we had in 2007- that should give you a few examples.

I can not upload an image --- guess I will just have to skip this one.

Edit: I am getting the same error message - do not have permission to access this page.

Responded to your thread in the help forum, PDL.

I'll double-check all the permissions for this forum; you should be able to see your own submission thread, but not others' threads.

This also has me confused. I clicked on the 'submission sub-forum link provided above which opened a new thread form. So I attached an image with a short comment. Then posted it. seemed simple enough. Then checked the "today's posts" and there it was for all to see. I deleted the picture right away and noticed that at least 4 people have viewed it since.

So why did it go public? This is supposed to invisible isn't it?
