Incorrect. Only Panasonic and Olympus have so far made real micro-4/3 lenses (i.e., lenses that take full advantage of the mount). Perhaps you're thinking of the fourthirds mount. M4/3 is not an open standard (unlike 4/3) and I do believe you have to be part of the consortium if you want to make anything more than a full manual lens (like the Noktor 50/0.95) that can't communicate anything with the body, and you have to flip on the "Shott without lens" option in the Menu.
It seems like this Nokton may not be too different from the Noktor lens, but I hope, in the future, Voigtländer lenses will at least get open metering/auto aperture control (they'll never make an AF lens).
