Saw a Craigslist ad for this lens. Thought someone might be interested. No pics

CANON 50mm f1.0 PRIME lens is the only one that allows f1.0 setting - $5000

Have for sale the original CANON 50 mm f1.0 PRIME lens...

this one is RARE and in high demand due to very limited run...

still NO lens that compares with this lens in terms of field of view as well as dramatic bokeh effects unattainable from ANY other lens.

in "brand new" but used condition with leather case/strap, original box and all packing foam/lens caps UV filter lens hood and paperwork...

rarely used by me and used primarily for studio shots...

the best CANON has to offer in low light situations...

a must for any SERIOUS fashon photographer or portrait studio..

I am quite firm on the price but may consider trade/cash deal...

No clue, I just saw a f1.0 and thought I would post it as a novelty.

The canon is not the only one. I think that there is a Leica Noctilux f1.0 also....at the same prices or even more expensive. I have seen some of them selling at several thousand dollars....with fungus

There was an autofocus EF mount 50mm f/1.0 available, but has now been replaced by the "slow" 50mm f/1.2

I'd LOVE to get my paws on the 85mm f/1.2, but my 85mm f/1.8 will have to do for now (along with the extra $1300 in my wallet)

seems to me almost all SERIOUS fashion and studio photographers are getting along fine without one.

because 1.2 just isn't good enough. and god forbid one must use 1.7!

some episodes in the movie "Barry Lyndon" were shot w/ F0.70 lenses

Some of my microscope images are taken also with f0.7 or f0.8 lenses

There are 2 versions. The EF 50mm F1.0 and a manual f/0.95

the 0.95 lens is for the defunct FD mount, incompatible with any modern SLRs
someone on the forum actually tried taking photos with one on a pentax by holding the lens to the body

I haven't kept up with EF lenses since I sold my EOS

There are a couple samples from the FD f/.95 floating around...definitely "something else"

To bad the 50 f1 was never any good. Terrible performance wide open.

and the 50mm f0.95 was made for the Canon 7. Not FD, If I recall.
