Nikon at PDN. All the superteles on wimberley gimbals...

Nikon at PDN. All the superteles on wimberley gimbals...

Looks like a fun show. At $45 admission, it should be. I wasn't there but it looks like Nikon "brought about every lens they offer"

About half way down the show pix are nikon supertele's which are set up on the newer wimberley full gimbal head. Fine Head. I got one three months ago. Nikon's smart to use this head as their 600mm f4 likely seems weightless on the Full Gimbal.

Did Pentax show up for PDN in New York?

I visited the New York event on Saturday - I don't think Pentax was there.

Nikon still doesn't get that something like 18-105/4 VR and 70-200/4 VR would sell much better than all these super-teles...

Nice image of Display

Thats a great way to make even longer want lists for Nikon Telephotos and Supertelephotos. Lenses that remain out of stock at stores I do biz with. And each is priced some 10 to 20% higher than canon equivilents.

The Wimberley Gimbal Head / Nikon Lens display I'm sure was a big hit. I'd have given it a looky~see for sure
