I think Frank might have a little tighter relationship with his rep than the people I deal with. Frank may well be right, but unofficially, they are supposed to be officially out in late July or early August....and I assume they mean this year .

My Pentax officials say..."when it's on the shelf we'll both know it's available." Hmmm....how do you translate that?

That's not what I wanted to hear...sucks forking out the cash for one and not knowing when it is going to come.

Initially when I ordered I was told it would be out mid-June so it may have been in here in time for my trip to Australia, that's why I pre-paid for it so I could have it in time with no hold ups.

B&H only has the DA* 16-50 listed with no arrival date announced.

Good thing I got my DA14 when I did; after selling my DA16-45 some months ago, I would have died without a wide by now, waiting for the new DA*s. Now I'm not in SUCH a hurry, but a good standard zoom is always missed.

Oh yeah...both lens are in target.
I will get the short range first and the medium range a bit later.
When i get it i will revew it and tell you what i think of it.

Glad to see a 200mm comming out also and THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU...the lens are black and not white like the other pro lens like Nikon and Canon.
