Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...Pentax ain't Pro! How many times have I heard that? Well I just wanted to announce that I am doing 2 major productions for VOGUE Brasil. One shoot this Tuesday and the next, a major Beauty Story two weeks later.

Guess which camera i'll be using?

NO..It isn't a Blad. Not a Canon or Nikon.

A PENTAX. My trusty OLD K20D. For the first shoot will use my Pentax DA 12-24, FA 43 and DA 70.

For the Beauty story probably my DA 40, FA 43 and DA 70.

Maybe this is on your blog site, but how do you decide what lenses you'll be shooting with before you get there?

And I'm wondering why you'd use the FA 43 and the DA 40.
I know you love the DA 40....but wouldn't the FA 43 give you everything you need?

And of course....I'm sure you'll be using umbrella lighting. :-P

Because I know the subject matter, space and result I am looking for before I shoot. As to the choice between the 40mm and 43mm, that''s because I want to try both.

why would you use the 43mm instead of the 50mm?
i thought you absolutely loved that lens as well

Of course, your work won't be up to the high standards of REAL photographers who use Canikons. We know that. But we'll be interested in the amateurish attempts you manage to produce.
