That was hard -- a whole lot of deserving pix! Fortunately I was able to rationalize not voting for #10 on the basis that any shot with that high of a cuteness quotient would DEFINITELY do well (and I'm happy to see that it did)!

I am also happy that #10 is doing well too.. I really like it.. It is a GREAT pic. besides the adorable factor (as in #39).. it shows a wonderful use of Post prossing in softening the outside and sharpening the eyes to make them "pop"..
After this is said and done I would be interested to know how this picture was taken and processed????
Great job everyone!!!!!!!

So many fine photos. Actually, the one that really grabs my attention and that I studied the most and that I naturally voted on has relatively few votes. Maybe it's best not to see the trend.
Such great pictures, and so many of them! Congrats to the contestants... I did even not vote for my own submission!

K10d, Ist*Ds, a lot of lenses, and some of my pics are on fotodag. My newer pictures are on Fotosybs photostream (FLICKR) . Still some pretty good glass for sale on the Marketplace, too.
This is going to take much longer than usual for me to vote. There are a couple which I recognize one way or the other...Parliament and the Library and the Rideau.
I think this is the first time EVER that I understood what judges have to go thru.
There are a lot of nice pictures for this contest but the contest was about photographs of people and NOT portraits which is to me slightly different (even though a portrait is a picture of a person). There are really nice picture in there but I voted for those that fully comply with the subject of the contest. If you agree to have large contest subjects, it become more difficult to find new contest subjects.
Sadly if you remove portraits, there are not many pictures matching the subject.
