It's a pretty big poll, and a hard choice to make, too

It was pretty tough so, I stuck to what I think is true macrography.

Well done to all the entrants and Adam for hosting and doing an overall great job with this site.

I would love to know some tech details for the photos from the shooters - what lens were used and such. I'm shopping for a macro at the moment and am still a little unsure of what's going to work best fo me.
Especially:
1. (Redhawk)
13. (Mikerigel)
18. (kklim1979)

I used a Vivitar 100mm f2.8 Macro (out of production for quite some time) and added a Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing converter. Both items can be found used on Ebay once in a while.

Red, I've never heard of this Macro Converter. If it's not a teleconverter, does it have any glass? It's not a tube??

How does it work? Anyone?

It is a combination of tube and teleconverter at the same time. It can turn a regular 50mm into a 1:1 macro lens, without ever losing infinity focus. It is a great design. Added to a 1:1 macro lens it will give even more magnification.

JensR from the DPreview forum has a great home page and describes it pretty well:

Congratulations! To Mikerigel and Redhawk also!
It would be nice if the winning photo will take place on the main pentaxforums page...
