Pentax' first autofocus camera. The autofocus motor was built into the lens. It was ahead of it's time and only one autofocus lens was developed for it. It cannot autofocus with the modern autofocus lenses (F, FA, D FA)

The panel was the same as the ME-Super, except for the focus assistance switch with settings for bright lenses and not-so-broight lenses.
The focus assitance is quite primitive by today standards, but still useful.

Another difference is that the ME-F has contacts for the same databack as the LX.
