Two different Takumar 135mm 2.5's ?

I ended up buying another Takumar 135mm 2.5 on "accident" (foolish bidding battle on my part) I'd like to know which to keep and which to pass on. Both lens are in similar shape mechanically and cosmetically. Both have Takumar (Bayonet) 1:2.5 135mm etched in white.

Lens 1-# 5624484 with made in Taiwan stamped on the built in lens hood. The hood is threaded on the outside. Lens 1 has Asahi Optical Co. stamped on the lens.

Lens 2-#5422192 with nothing stamped on the hood. This lens has a gold sticker with PASSED jdmc on it. The built in lens hood is not threaded on the outside, rather it has a knurled (bumpy) ring at the end of the hood. Lens 2 has Asahi Opt Co., Japan stamped on the lens.
Any help is appreciated.

Interesting. I've had maybe five of these and I have never seen one like Lens 2. I thought they were all like Lens 1. I don't know if that means anything about rarity. It may not alter the value significantly.

I have a 135/2.5 similar as your Lens 2, Serial #550****. I don't know how it stacks with the one made in Taiwan or the other "Made in Japan", as this is the only Takumar 135/2.5 I own. I'm not too impressed by it, nor disappointed. I rarely use it now, and thinking of selling it...

Keep the one with the built in lens hood just for the convenience of having it. The lens is neither terrible or great but you should still be able to get some decent shots with it. Hope you didn't get too caught in the ebay bidding moment.

Update: After these, not sure if I want to sell it, probably will for the right price.
