Scanning slides?

Does anyone know or is familuar with any program or scanning procedure of obtaining exif data from slides?
I have several slides from the sixties that I took with 35mm slr but havn't slightest idea of camera brand or otherwise. I remember Hamamax, Vivitar, and sears, brands which used M42's and Kmounts over the years. Be interesting to see such data if it were accesable. I have the cannon 8600F flatbed scanner which does a good job on slides as well as film, but see nothing in setup about exif data. Thanks. jim
