Af400ftz

I bought this flash a good many years ago and it really doesn't work well with my Super Program. Will I be able to utilize all the functions of this flash using a K110D?

Unfortunately not. The K110D requires a P-TTL flash unit. The Af400t I believe is a TTL only.

There are 2 Pentax P-TTL flash units available. The AF360 and the AF540. There are a couple of Sigmas, the EF500DG ST and EF500DG Super. I believe there is a Pro Master unit also, but I am unfamiliar with it.

hope this helps

The P stands for programed or Pentax or something. I don't really know. But it differentiates the current version of TTL flash that uses a pre-flash to determine exposure, from the older TTL version that does not.

Cheers

P-TTL stands for Pre-TTL
I don't really like any PTTL or program modes, I am a Jpeg shooter and I shoot all manual

What was (is) the problem between the 400 FTZ and the Super Program? In my mind, the 400FTZ is the top Pentax flash for the Super Program. I have the 280T for mine and always lusted after the 400, but could never rationalize the cost for my use.
