SANYO Eneloops - precharged?

I got myself these guys:

I was wondering, are those precharged? There is statement: Ready to use Rechargable Battery.
Can I charge them with classic aftermarket charger for Ni-MH accus? It has the ouput of 6V and 1000mA.

Thans for answers!

Yes, they are pre-charged. (Wouldn't it be simple to put them in something and test?)

I have the same batteries and I have charged them in a charger not specifically designed for them with no ill-effect, although I usually use the Sanyo Eneloop charger that came with the batteries in a set.

I use a normal Lenmar charger on my Enloops and they go fine.

Thanks guys.
Yes Mike, it would be very simple, but I don't have a tester and I don't beleive in the result of testing accus in a torch. As you know, new accus can be discharged, but the torch may still work with them. At least for an hour or so - my experience. This is beacuse all accus are charged and then discharged in the factory, as for testing. This disharging could not be perfect, so such a test is not a reliable one.

Great batteries and yes you can use any charger that charges rechargeables. I would however recommend using a charger such as the one that you can get for the eneloops or just as good a xtrapower Pro rapid charger (6hr to charge). also acts as a drip charger to keep batteries fresh. the slower you charge a rechargeable battery the better performance you will get from the battery.

What's the deal with manufacturers producing 2 brands of rechargeables?
I know at least Sanyo and GP do that.

These new Nimh's can keep up tp 80% of their initial charge after a year. They should all be ready to use out of the box. You shouldn't keep them in the charger, charge them then take them out.

Roy! My experience with the rayovac's is exactly the opposite, mine died after a couple of dozen, and after a recharge they died again. I would have thought they were the same as eneloops....

i think i'd be returning them because i've heard nothing but RAVES about the hybrids. mine will a year old in april and i'll do a test to see how well they are behaving..

edit: you may only have 1 bat in the set that's bad.. ck them.

It depends on the charger and the capacity of the batteries.

4 Sanyo 2500 mAh can recharge fully in about 5 hours, with a fast charger (I've tried), and about 13 hours with a slow charger (also tried)

I use energizer rechargable batteries. I was taking pics at my friends bday party for his daughter and they died on me. So I ran over to the ritz in the mall and got these Sanyo batteries. Popped them in and they worked like a charm. And I've used my energizer charger to recharge them. Work like a charm still.
