waterproff my K100dS with a DiCAPac?

i want to get some in water surf shots but i cant find any housing for my K100ds, well noting like i would like /expect.

I found some, what seems to be an overglorifyed garbage bag the you place your camera in but i just dont trust it i would like to find something like a hard enclousure but chances are there going to be worth mor than my cam (~$1400AU) and for that price i could just buy a K20D.

DiCAPac SLR Pack Waterproof Camera Case (WP-S10) - Digital Camera Warehouse Australia

should i trust this thing? any one used one of these

thanks guys

Have a good one!

Of course you can trust it. That casing even though a bit clumsy, is by far a lot better weatherproofing than whatever is on the K20D. It is even waterproofing to some depth.

Speaking of what I am affraid many newcomers and even long time users, may think the K20D's weatherproofing can stand heavy splashing and even an occasional dunk.... which is completely wrong.

No as far as what i meant by the K20D statemet is that for the price of hardcase i could by me a new camera (which is something i would really like atm) i completly understand it is only a weatherproof seal, a few orings to stop sand and a bit of rain. nothing more, as far as the 'bag' goes many have had issues where the seams have given out during use, flooding the bad and camera

Sorry for any mis-understanding

I've used an Aquapac with my K20D with no problems. It's a great tool to own, I use mine for snorkeling.

It does look like a good product. The only real concern is figuring out how to get access to the viewfinder. As their product description says..."works best with cameras having live view". Otherwise, I guess it is basically "point and pray".
