k100d battery recommendation

What has worked out best for you guys?
Need something that lasts long yet economical

I tried several rechargable AA cells, Energizers 2500 mAh were doing OK, and as backup batteries I always had around Energizers Lithium AAs. Now I have both main and backup batteries Lithium. Have to try other brand yet, or some CR3V (I've been put off them by many reviews of badly leaking ones or the ones that messed up camera in one way or another - the cheap ones).

I'm on my second set of Energizer Lithiums. The first set I got about 800 shots out of (very little flash use). While on this second set, I'm going to try and get a set of Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables which have come highly recommended on here.

Has anybody heard, read or have had Uniross Hybrio???
Apparently they should be coming charged, be rechargable and not loosing power like normal rechargables. Any experiences?

With my *istDL, I use either e2 lithiums - approx 2000 shots (no preview, very little flash) or 2500 mAh NiMH - approx 700 shots. I just got a set of Rayovac hybrids, but the lithiums are still going so I haven't really used them yet.....

I'm using Sanyo 2500 mAh Ni-MH. They seem to last around 700 pics and charge in only 15 minutes. I've had them about a month and they seem awesome.

well I just ordered the Uniross Hybrio batteries and charger. I will let you know how they do when they get here.

I think the Hybrio is a relabled eneloop.

I use regulated RCRV3 batts from thomas-distributing.com LOVE THEM.

rayovac hybrids. similar to the eneloops and hybrio. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
out of the package = 840 shots over a months time
recharge == 1200 shots with onboard flash used 50 times over a months time
and they cost less
get em at wally world or fry's or where ever. just get em.

So the Rayovacs are as good as the Eneloops? hm, i might have to buy a set and give em a workout !! I have 2 sets of Eneloops, and am pretty impressed with them, Only thing i don't like about them, is that they take quite a while to charge < with the charger that came with one set > Other than that, i get quite a few shots out of a set, and have had no problems at all.

I have the idea, that the chargers who announce extremely fast charging times are not very good for the batteries :S

Mine Eneloops take about 10hrs+- to charge, i usually charge them at night so i don't know exactly :P

Sanyo Eneloops is the way to go.

Also I've used Energizer 2500mAh NiMH reachargeables and was really disapointed with them: they are loosing their charge very quickly, much quicker than other NiMH rechargeables I have used (Sanyo, Albinar, GP).

I suppose you ask for rechargeable solutions. But indeed you have little choice out there.

Choose either Sanyo Eneloop or REGULATED Rechargeable CR-V3. You can have other low self discharge AA rechargeable like the GP recyko or Uniross hybrid etc. but those are not proven by the K100D or other Pentax DSLR users widely as the Eneloop, which has a very flat discharge curve.

I also bought the Sanyo 2500 mAh rechargeable when I bought my K100D last year, but it is just a waste of money.

The ridiculous fast self discharge is just a joke. You will have an empty battery just within days!

My 2000mAh Pana and Sony retain charges much better but they cannot give the high voltage that my K100D requires.
