Hi ctt

Sorry I can't help on the K10d front as unfortunately I reside in London, but I did hear a possible rumour that Glen Miller and his band might soon be passing through....choo choo...whoo whoo lol !

Best regards
Richard

Given that you posted this just over a week ago, I'd say you're on your own. Try your best to read the manual to understand the functions of the camera then find a general photography class to learn how to take advantage of them.

Well, couldn't you just fly on over and give me some lessons???? I'm looking for someone who has the same camera as me to give me some one on one. There are no Pentax camera classes in my area. I have many books and manuals, but I'm the type that needs someone to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong! I don't know anything about Glen Miller, but the choo choo is here! I could take you for a ride!

My wife and I are also new to the k10d and we purchased the book: Magic Lantern Guides:Pentax k10d by Peter K. Burian from Amazon. It is supposed to go over the workings of the camera in great detail but in layman's terms. Haven't received it yet but it should be coming this week. We also have no camera clubs in our town nor any who use the Pentax camera, so like you we are alone. You might want to try this book.

Connie I am over in West TN. No plans to be over near your location any time soon. I wouldn't be of much help anyway because I am still learning myself. I would love to be over there this time of year to capture some of the fall colors in the Smokies.

Hi Connie

What kind of stuff do need help with right now. Have you any specific questions or problems that you need assistance with, as I realise from experience that the K10D can almost seem an overwhelming prospect to a newcomer ?
BTW if you have to ask who Glen Miller is, you're probably MUCH younger than I thought !!! Think 1940's......and you'd be about right !

Best regards
Richard

P.S. We're a friendly bunch, when you eventually get to know us all !!!

Oh, and I forgot to to say, I've heard of Glen Miller, but I don't think it comes to the Choo Choo!
