K10D Pre-flash

It is bothering me. I have an old optical trigger and an old flash. Blinking thing keeps going off from what I assume to be the preflash.

Anyone met this problem and overcome it before?

I suggest spending $20 and getting a "smart" slave that can ignore digicam preflash

I know. It is just that I live in Barbados and we don't have a store down here that sells that kind of specialized camera equipment, so I would have to order it off the net and wait a week or two or more for it to get here.

Was going to buy a Sigma 530 Super soon anyway, so I am just kinda playing around.

Yep, I have two and they can be set to fire on the what ever flash pulse you want, 1st 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Different makes have different flash pulses and also, some flashes in Wirelsss mode flash on a different pulse too.

Check eBay for these Optical triggers
SF4 Digital Slave Flash Sensor Ignores Preflash - eBay, Flashes, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 17-Mar-08 22:00:00 AEDST)

The other option is the radio triggers
4 Channel Wireless Hot Shoe Flash Flashgun Trigger T1E - eBay, Lighting, Studio Equipment, Photographic Accessories, Cameras. (end time 10-Mar-08 14:21:31 AEDST)
