K20D Questions

My new K20D will arrive Friday and I have a couple of questions:



2) Will the Remote Cable Switch (CS-205) I bought for my K100D work on the K20D?

3) Will the O-ME53 Pentax Magnifying Eyecup fit the K20D?

4) Is there anything that dosen't come with the camera that you all wish you would have ordered with it?

5) Will my lenses work ok on the K20D that I bought for my K100D? Or is there any you would sell to get better lenses.

I am still using my current pair of K10D's so I'm clearly lagging well behind you in the technology stakes, but as for your first question regarding the K20D:

1) When you focus the Viewfinder with the Dioptre Adjustment Lever, does it also focus the Live View? So people that use glasses can see it as good as with the Viewfinder.

The sliding Diopter Adjustment Lever immediately above the viewfinder on your K20D is by it's very nature purely an OPTICAL device and not an electronic one, to the best of my recollection. You will only find electronic viewfinders on typical fixed lens all-in-one consumer 'bridge' cameras (i.e. non-interchangeable lens ones). I cannot imagine that the dioptre lever would have any effect whatsoever on the output from the rear LCD screen and don't believe there is any method of 'focussing' the screen,
as such !

The normal method of viewing images on the LCD screen is to press the "Playback" button (bottom left one, on rear of camera body) and then scroll the rear E-dial to the right, which will magnify the image. You can 'customise' the initial amount of 'magnification' (x2, x4, x 8 etc up to x20 !) by accessing the "Initial Zoom Display" in the "Set Up Menu" on the camera. As for your other questions, I'll leave them for others more knowledgeable than I to answer.
