TR Power Pack III Batteries -- NiMH ???

Hi All,

Does anyone know if NiMH batteries can be used in this high voltage pack for the AF 540 FGZ? The owner's manual specifically says that you cannot use NiCads (as do the instructions for the TR2).

on the instructions of the 540, it said you cannot use NiMH's too.

i was kinda dissapointed to read that

-=edit=-
it's weird, i just went on the pentax website to look at the 540, and it lists NiMH as a usable power source, contrary to what the instruction manual says.

My manual says otherwise. On Pg 4, it said you could use alkaline, lithium or NiMh batteries.

Yes I know this is back from the dead but..

He wanted to know whether you could use C size NiMH batteries with the Power Pack which is available for the 540fgz flash.

And so would I. I found some C nimh's that are perking at 5500mAh. [could you EEMAGYN? ]
