Samsung GX1 L

In a repair shop I ran into a used Samsung GX1 L. I was considering getting it for my girlfriend, she wants a small slr to start learning a bit more about camera techniques.
They charge €200 (inc warranty) which in the Netherlands isn't a bad price (I haven't seen cheaper).

A benefit will be I get to use it as a second body

Can anyone recommend (against) this camera? Comments welcome!

That's one of the things I'd like to know. They look really similar...

I have one. Its a back up to my 2 k10d's. Great camera, I really like it. I don't imagine I will ever sell it. I could never replace it for what I could get for it.

Just picked it up, and it's a charm! Although I obviously miss some of the features (and the speed) of the K10D it takes really nice pics! Even the noise @ iso 3200 is easy to filter out!
Me happy camper!
---edit---
Oh, reknelb (or anyone else w. this cam); what batterylife can I expect? (ballparks) I use 2700 mAh cells...
