interesting article both for and against FF

I really dont want to start another apcsc vs ff thread but this is an article that discusses both sides of the argument that I thought some people may find interesting (its for sony a900 but still interesting)

Do you really need an Alpha 900? | Photoclub Alpha

(how about we keep it nice and civil and not comment one or the other )

(oh and if your not interested, just ignore the whole thread )

Nice dose of perspective. Something all photographers need now and then.

mmmm...

Full frame goodness.

I want one. Maybe not my next camera, but at least the one after the next. Maybe Pentax will be in the FF game also by then.

If not, I have other options. And like the author states, "its a whole new system".

So a whole new system with Pentax or Canikon, unless Pentax can deliver.

...Where is that fire exit now?...

Good read. Nice to see all the pros and cons of both formats layed out in an objective manner without all the punditry and vitriol.

Thanks for the link.

An oversized reflex mirror for maximum brightness and coverage, would be a sweet thing for APS-C also.

He is good at mentioning the Pro's and Cons. I had not thought of this one :
"You will lose the great benefit of APS-C, a top grade general purpose zoom offering a far more useful long end than the 24-70mm does on full frame. Don’t imagine the 24-105mm can do this job; I have one, and there is no comparison. The 16-80mm CZ on APS-C is a much better lens all round than the Sony SAL 24-105mm on full frame."

My computer is not fast, even with the K10 files. No FF without a new faster computer. I do think the A900 brings some interesting features to the table though. Looking forward to more full reviews.
